Soya

Soya

Soya or soya bean is the most widespread species of legume in the world. It is originated in East Asia about 4-7 thousand years ago.

Today soya is the cheap source of the precious protein. There are numerous traditional Asian soya products like tofu, natto, tempeh etc. Soya can not only nourish developing countries, but also reduce heart decease risk as soya contains amino acid, many vitamins and minerals. The scientists say soya contains complete protein, that is all the essential amino acids which are so vital for human health. Today many people wish to reduce the quantity of meat they eat and substitute it with soya.

The global leaders of the soya production are Brazil, USA, Argentina and China. Ukraine occupies somewhat the 10th place.

Soya cultivation requires hot summers which Ukraine has in plenty. Soya has very good harvests and brings large profits. Ukrainian Ministry of agricultural politics has planned to use many empty lands for soya cultivation. So it is likely that soya production and export will increase in Ukraine dramatically until 2020.

Soya is valued not only for its protein, but also for its oil, so soya can be called an oil-bearing crop. Soya is rich in omega-6 fatty acids. Soya oil can be used as a cholesterol-lowering food so if has many heart health benefits. Soya also has a lot of phytic acid, which is a strong antioxidant.

Trans Trade RK SA will participate in Ukrainian soya production and export increase. The company considers this point as a real revolution in Ukrainian agriculture.
